Jon Ward has over 40 years’ experience as a writer and creative consultant to clients ranging from one-person startups to billion-dollar corporations. Today, he serves a select and mostly long-term clientele of entrepreneurial, innovative companies.
After graduating from Cambridge University and earning a master’s degree at Sussex University, Jon worked as a teacher for some years. He produced Write Better English, published by Cambridge University Press. In 2026, this book will be republished in the United States.
Jon began his business career in the UK as the lead copywriter for Pentagram, Europe’s premier design consultancy, with whom he supported corporate identity programs for several European multinationals. For some years, he served as the primary marketing writer for Reuters’ financial products division (now Thompson Reuters).
Jon moved to the United States in 1992. As co-owner of Young Associates, a flourishing Phoenix-based advertising agency, he oversaw the work of the in-house graphic design team for over seven years, while producing a continuous flow of writing and consulting for clients in multiple industries.
As a business educator, Jon has taught marketing on stage for T.
